Beauty Bubble

The Project

“BEATY-BUBBLE” aims to promote key aspects of digital literacy by educating and sensitising adults with and without disabilities in relation to media images of beauty, so that adults learn to redefine the perception of beauty, disability and diversity for themselves. Individuality instead of beauty, authenticity instead of conformity. Beauty is what you like and what strengthens you internally.

The main aim of the project is to raise awareness and educate adults with and without disabilities about media beauty images and digital literacy. This is regarded as a central key competence for lifelong learning and reflecting on what the flood of information and images in digital media does to us is an essential part of this competence.

More detailed goals are:
* To redefine the perception of beauty, disability and diversity.
* Raise awareness of the importance of dig. expertise with a focus on self-presentation and ideals of beauty on the internet and their impact on our thoughts, feelings and actions.
* Raising awareness for a vigilant, critical and self-determined approach to our own filter bubble, which can have an impact on our self-perception and self-esteem.
* Addressing a broad target group of media users.

The target group of
“BEAUTY-BUBBLE” in our project are
adults with and without disabilities who use the Internet as well as multipliers in adult education. This main target group is cross-educational and reaches all relevant actors in the field of: *Education and health; *Politics and business; *Education; *Adult education umbrella organisations; *Schools; *Social pedagogues; *Cultural organisations *Universities; *Training centres; *Career counsellors; *Local, regional and national authorities.
